Deathstroke the Terminator; master assassin, super soldier, villain. Slade Wilson, originally created by Wolfman & Perez as a rouge for the New Teen Titans has blossomed into one of the DC Universes biggest badasses. With his heightened abilities, Deathstroke works as a mercenary for hire and has been affiliated with several teams throughout the years, he has become a foil for the Justice League and served as an excellent contrast to Batman.

What makes Deathstroke so great? His morality. He is quick to accept a contract for the right amount despite the details of the mission, but walks the line of “anti-hero” when it benefits him. That gray area makes him a much more interesting and complex character and it has been showcased brilliantly in his current Rebirth series written by Christopher Priest.

Deathstoke has appeared in other media such as the Arrow TV show played by Manu Bennett, the Teen Titans animated series, video games, & most recently in a post credit scene of Justice League played by Joe Manganiello.
